. Expat tax exile loses to HMRC in landmark ruling - The Supreme Court has ruled in favour of HMRC and upheld the decision to subject a millionaire expat to UK tax laws despite him spending most of his time in the Seychelles.

The solicitor representing the expat immediately issued a stark warning to other expats, saying they too were "at hight risk" if they followed official HMRC guidelines as to what constitutes UK residency for tax purposes.
. Do expats in Russia earn more? - The myth that expats in Russia earn more than native professionals is not true, according to a new survey. However expats win in terms of the relocation packages they oftern receive when moving, suggest a survey carried out by the Moscow Times.
. Number of Expatriates on the increase - More people head to China seeking out employment as Western economies suffer hardship, This year China's average gross domestic product increase is about 8 to 10 percent.
. Expat entrepreneurs sowing the seeds of success abroad - Despite the adverse impacts of the global recession a survey of expat entrepreneurs has a relatively positive view of the current business climate in which they are working.
. UAE mulls expatriate unemployment insurance - Following significant relaxations in movement of expatriate labour from one employment to another, the UAE may soon have a migrant savings scheme which will allow such workers to extra funds to rely upon during the time they are in-between employment.

Also in the news a recent reports suggest the number of international positions for bilinguals is on the rise, with growing populations of different parts of the world, the need for translators has become a vital part of business and goverment operations.
