Norway named as the best place in the world to live - This according to the the annual index produced by the United Nations. Following Norway are Australia and the Netherlands. . Expat cycles home from China - An adventurous lawyer has cycled home from China, after nearly a year and 17,000km he has arrived back in the UK. The voyage was split into two parts to allow for worst of the Chinese winter, the voyage was used to raise money and awarness for two charities. . Experts discount expat fears over back-tax ruling - Fears that last month's UK Supreme Court ruling about the tax affairs of a Seychells-based expat pose a whidespread threat to other British expats have been discounted by financial professionals, however they do acknowledge it has introducted an element of uncertainty. . Shanghai launches expat recuitment drive - China has developed a five-year plan to turn Shanghai into an international financial hub capable of rivalling the likes of New York, London and neighbouring Hong Kong.
Also in the news a recent surveys suggest almost 90% would consider moving abroad for better prospects, the curent recession combined with the perception that property is cheaper abroad accounted for nearly a third of all reasons.
