Background

I began working with Newcastle based stockbroker Wise Speke in 1989 as a settlements clerk and moved to their London office in 1991. Whilst in London I passed professional exams to become first a registered representative of the London Stock Exchange and then a Fellow of the Securities Institute and moved across to become an advisor in the Private Clients team. Following a take over by Brewin Dolphin in 1997 I attained the position of Assistant Director. However after eleven and a half years in London I left in late 2002 to return to the North East. 

Joining APRIL Medibroker in 2003 as an International Sales Advisor seemed quite fitting as I had spent several years as a schoolboy living as an expatriate in Saudi where my father worked. I lived in or visited Saudi for a total of eight years so can understand some of the concerns expatriates can have. I was recently delighted to assume the role of Sales Manager for APRILl Medibroker and look forward to continuing delivering the first class service that clients of APRIL Medibroker have come to know.

Hobbies/Interests

Outside of work I am a keen fan of Newcastle United, not so much fun these days! I enjoy socialising with friends and still think 80s music is the best although I have long thrown away the shoulder pads and leg warmers!

It is very enjoyable working at APRIL Medibroker, communicating with people from all walks of life from all corners of the Earth, no two days seem the same. It is a pleasure to work with a great bunch of people who are not only fun loving but extremely dedicated to their jobs and it makes my role as Sales Manager all the more rewarding.
