Background

After leaving school and university I embarked on a six year career with Prudential, starting within administration in the Newcastle branch office and progressing through sales roles to a national job as Implementation Consultant working across the United Kingdom from the company's head office in London.

Following redundancy from Prudential, I joined the then APRIL Medibroker initially selling within the UK domestic healthcare market before moving on to the international/expatriate marketplace.

I was made a Director of the Company in June 2006, and as part of the Board of Directors have been challenged with continuing and improving the operation of the world's leading online expatriate medical insurance broker.

The move from an insurer to a broker was an inspirational one for me personally as it gave the opportunity to provide customers with a far greater choice of solutions.  APRIL Medibroker has always thrived on giving our customers the best impartial advice available and as a result we pride ourselves on the fact that we have retention rates that are far higher year on year than the industry average.  All of our staff build strong personal relationships with our customers through a level of service that we feel is unsurpassed.

Hobbies/Interests

I have a keen interest in rugby and cricket on a local and national scale (watching, not playing!) and enjoy a variety of music, primarily "rock" music and have taken great pleasure from seeing many bands live over the years - from AC/DC to ZZ Top! My favourite food is Indian and I like to travel around the North East of England with friends sampling both new and established restaurants.
